October Harvest

These past few weeks have been busy for us. Harvest time is now in season and we love to take advantage of this beautiful fall season we have had. Fall has always been my favorite season since birth. The leaves give everything a reason to enjoy this season. I bet the East coast looks wonderful. I dont exactly live in an area with a lot of fall trees bleeding to a different color, but I recently went to Julian with the kids to an apple festivity. It was fun. Although the apples in the orchard were tiny and hard to find any available. But the kids loved picking the apples and putting them in the bags. The kids went on a little hay ride, and hay ride I mean a little tractor with a trailer behind it. I was able to take some photos of the kids during this festive day. They both wore red and overalls to celebrate this day. They were both very cute. Cassey was out to sea this week so he wasn't able to show up for it.
But we went home and made some apple cobbler. It was really good.
Kimberly has been doing well in school. She loves to sing. She gets comments on her voice.
Collin still misses not going to school. He always asks, " Is this my school?" I say it will be next year just so he wont get upset that he cant be in there with Kim.
We get our photos done today. It will be a setting with 1920's look. Some how, all of us ended up getting haircuts this week. So we are all ready for the photos. I just hope the kids will cooperate and smile. That is always the hardest.
We went to a community festival for the military family. It was alright. They didn't have a lot of stuff to do. But the kids love going on the rides.
I am headed onto my next course, which is English. Wish me luck. I am not good with English. I would like to be. I'm just not good with it.
So far I am doing well with school. My current grade is an A. But it is starting to get hard. It wont stop me though.
Well I hope to come home with a cd of my photos that will be taken today. So I will come back here and post more. Please keep reading my posts. There are always new changes.

Here are some photos of Karma that Chris took with my Nikon. We were playing at the park in Old town Boise.

Carlson's Summer update

Well since Cassey has been home from his 5 1/2 month deployment, We have been busy trying to unpack our house, take Kimberly to her appointments to get ready for school, getting my school work done each week. For those I didn't tell, I am attending College again. I am only taking one course at a time and it is all online. But it had made me busy. On top of all that, trying to get the house cleaned up and presentable has been complicating. The work is never done.
We have a good time here in San Diego. To be honest, I will miss this place once we move to another destination. We live by the Harbor, which is beautiful. It has been hot here this past week. I haven't been able to feel the breeze from the ocean because of the heat. The kids enjoy going outside to play. We have a new friend that we hang out with. Her name is Marlene. Her daughter's name is Sophie. The kids have gotten to know this family and it has been fun hanging out with them.
Kimberly starts school in September. She is excited about going back to school. She loves going to school and participating in activities. It is really good for her right now. It shows her patience. I have been taking a Cake decorating class as well. That has pretty much kept me busy. I don't know if I will continue doing the second course. We have been busy with other things. Cassey will be starting up school for his Networking skills on the ship, starting in October. It will run for 6 weeks. He is excited about it. I am putting some pictures on here of my kids over the summer in Idaho. We stayed in Idaho while Cassey was deployed and we had fun. There is a picture of Kimberly and my mom, Misty, with bunny ears. They look funny. It was taken at the Boise zoo. Sorry about the late updates. Now that I am a little organized with our lives, I may get on here a little more than usual. Hope all is well. Have a great summer before it ends. And Happy Fall when it gets here. I love fall. I cant wait for it to get here.

Family Update :

Hi everyone. i have been slacking on this site. i dont have my own computer or anything so i have to share with everyone else in the house. it would be so much easier if i had my own computer though. but this will have to due.
Cassey is doing fine out to sea. he left Thailand and is now dangling out to sea for a while. I wont report where he will be next until he reaches shores. For those of you wondering, no he has nothing to do with the pirates we have been having problems with lately. They are on the other side of where cassey is currently located. But i cant make promises he wont ever have something to do with them. We never know what happens on those waters.
Cassey and I spent time together for a couple days in Guam. We stayed with Tara while we were there. Japan got canceled so we took the chance to spend time in Guam since Tara lives there. Thought it might be a good opportunity to spend time with Tara and see what Guam is like. We had fun.
Kimberly said her bedtime prayer last night. She used her words well last night. We could understand her speech. We are proud of her success in trying to speak and use her words.
Collin is also doing well. he just turned 2 yrs old. He is becoming a bigger tease to his sister and others around him. He celebrated his birthday at Red Robin. He had fun and loved his toys he got.
We celebrated Easter in Boise with Grandma Babbitt and all the cousins. It was fun. We spent Easter time hiding eggs at the park and split the older kids up with the smaller kids so they could have a chance at finding the eggs.
As some of you may know, Last night we lost Melon. He passed away due to getting run over by someone in a truck in the area. He wasnt bleeding but we think he got knocked out pretty badly because he wasnt responding and he wasnt breathing. But his heart was beating and then fainting slowly. He was a good dog. He liked to bark if left alone, but he was a loveable dog. He will be missed. The kids ask where he is, But all i can say to them right now is, "He's sleeping". It was hard but i will always remember how excited he would get when we play with him or when he played with Bella. (Bella was melons best friend and yvonnes dog.)
Right now i am looking for homes in San Diego. I plan to go back in June. We will see what we find. If i can find something sooner, i may go back as soon as i can. I need to get kimberly registered back into the schools there. Much to do and less time to do it. As usual for us.
Well thats the scoop. I will do my best to update more.

Kirk Babbitt

Well this past week has been long. Kirk Babbitt (My Uncle) passed away in a tragic plane crash. In his Zodiac plane that he built with his Uncle Dennis. Investigation is still underway. Its been an emotional week. And quite frankly, Im all tired out. Im exhausted to the core.
Dealing with all this was hard while Cassey has been out to sea. It wasnt easy supporting others when i didnt have support for myself. So it was a little hard. But I did it with no complaints. It was nice to see family there.
Cassey has been underway since January. Its only the beginning of March. We have a long way to go. He has already hit China and Japan. He says every day is the same day like "groundhogs day".
I will update more when i get the chance. I havent been in the mood to do much lately.
Anyhoo. I will get back here and post more stuff when i get the chance and when people stop taking the computer away from me.
